SPS was developed as a project center and addresses the following features:

  • System Administrator:

    - Create the project, edit the project information and remove the project.
    - Create the user account; edit the user information, delete, disable, enable, and search the user.
    - Set group permission to the user to access the SPS system. The user can use the system according to the permission he is assigned.
    - View the system access report files that are kept as a monthly report.

  • Project Manager:

    - Upload the project report and project schedule.
    - Accept or reject the request for changing the requirement.
    - Set the meeting schedule. The system will automatically send the e-mail to all meeting participants for the meeting time, place, agenda, and participants. The project non-member needs to be approved from the Project Manager to participate in the meeting. The email will be sent to notify the Project Manager for approval.
    - Upload the general project files.
    - Manage main discussion topic; view, create, remove, and close main discussion topic.
    - Manage discussion topic; view, create, remove, and close discussion topic.
    - Manage posted messages; view, create, close, and remove posted messages. Send e-mail to individual user.
    - Search Topic and Message for discussion topic and/or posting message.
    - Manage bug-tracking data; view, create, edit, and filter bug-tracking data.
    - Manage the project address book; add, remove, view and edit the email information of project non-member.
    - View the project log file to see the user access report.

  • Project Administrator:

    Project Administrator can perform all function similar to Project Manager. But Project Administrator can operate more features than Project Manager as described in the following:
    - Create the user account in the project; edit the user information and delete user in the project.


  • Team Member and Customer:

    - Request to change the requirement. The system will automatically send the e-mail to the project manager who is authorized to accept, reject, or hold the request status.
    - Upload the general project files.
    - Manage main discussion topic; view main discussion topic.
    - Manage discussion topic; view and create discussion topic.
    - Manage posted messages; view and create posted messages. Send e-mail to individual user.
    - Search Topics and Messages for discussion topic and/or posting message.
    - Manage bug-tracking data; view, create, edit, and filter bug-tracking data.


  • Tester:

    Tester can perform all functions similar to Team Member and Customer. But Tester can operate more features as described in the following:
    - Manage bug tracking data; view, create, edit, set default, and filter bug tracking data
